GIC Housing Finance Ltd consolidated sales down 1.99% on year in Q2FY2026

GIC Housing Finance Ltd share price slipped 1.31% to Rs 139.85 after the company's net profit tanked by 81.22% to Rs 10.08 crore, while revenue from operations slipped slightly by 1.99% to Rs 265.28 crore in Q2FY26 over Q1FY26. The market capitalization of Housing Finance Company industry group stocks on BSE stood at Rs 2.68 lakh crore, easing 4.10%. It has softened by 2.07% over last one week and crept higher by 1.12% in last one month while the market capitalization of GIC Housing Finance Ltd has eased by 7.35% and 6.36% in the same period respectively. Profit before tax (PBT) of GIC Housing Finance Ltd stood at Rs 17.74 crore in Q2 FY26, crashing by 187.35% year-on-year, and nosediving by 72.02% quarter-on-quarter. EBITDA came in at Rs 20 crore, tanking 213.33% YoY and tumbling by 68.57% sequentially. Total expenses went up by 18.83% to Rs 249.63 crore in Q2FY26 over Q2FY25. During the quarter, employee benefits expense was at Rs 22.86 crore, falling 8.92% YoY. For the TTM ended FY26, revenue from operations inched higher 1.32% to Rs 1068.84 crore, while net profit eased 3.49% to Rs 154.82 crore, compared to previous TTM. EBITDA soared by 20968% to Rs 168.07 crore, and PBT tumbled by 22.98% to Rs 159.21 crore compared to previous TTM. GIC Housing Finance Ltd plunged by 20.22% in last one year, underperforming the benchmark BSE Sensex which has softened by 4.36% during the same period.
